Vic: Detectives await DNA results on human remains

MELBOURNE, Dec 2 AAP - DNA tests could help detectives identify a body discovered nine
days ago near Geelong, police said today.

The legless body was found by five friends walking a dog at the Point Henry Wetlands
Reserve on November 23 about 6pm (AEDT).

Police said an autopsy was carried out on the remains last week, but homicide squad
detectives were waiting for DNA results to identify the remains.

It was not known when the results would be made available.
